In the Gallery

From Jan. 24 through Feb. 29th the gallery will exhibit the work of Jeri Holt of Windsor.

Holt feels that creating her art is like jazz; it has an underlying unity with infinite variety and possibilities.

Combining digital painting with fractals, her work uniquely expresses her love of dramatic color, rhythms, and emotions.

She uses collaged fractal flames and sometimes photography, digital brush work, color manipulation to create truly integrated digital art pieces.

She says, “ After I discovered digital mediums, I’ve been able to create and sculpt with light in a way I was never able to do before”.

Jeri is a largely self-taught artist who has worked in many mediums. She taught for twenty years, but for the last ten years has been designing and managing web systems and web based information services for the Maine Municipal Association.

She has exhibited at the Thomas College Art Gallery and The Blue Marble Gallery in Waterville and the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell. Her online gallery is available at www.withdigitaleyes.com

Centre Gallery is open when there are performances scheduled or during other functions held at the Performing Arts Centre or by appointment by calling 568-3147 or 948-7469.
