Pink is the universal color of love, and it is a feng shui fire color. It is connected to love and marriage and therefore is used often in the southwest corner of your space.
Its vibrations can be soothing when in it’s the soft and gentle hues of pink roses and pink quartz crystals. Because it is a fire element, it can also be strong with firey energy and passion. The vibrations of th strong pink can be introduced in accessories, art, or small furniture. It is often too strong for wall colors and sometimes disorients people in large quantities. The soft pink can certainly be used for walls, but balancing pinks with feng shui’s earth (southwest) colors (beige and light yellows).
Looking at two of my images, you can see the effects of both values of pink. Using art such as these can use the fire element to bring love and passion into your spaces.
An image like “Pink Mandala” uses the soft pinks to create a soothing circle of life. Touches of green (a wood element) as well as purple, another fire element, bring a gentle soothing mood to your decor. This image would be excellent for a bedroom or office. It would be especially good for a bathroom or small powder room when it could soften the hard metal influences.
“Isadora” is another matter. She has strong magenta pinks and gold (yellow) as the primary color influence. Both of the colors are strong and fiery, and this image bursts with energy. Her pinks bring passion and movement. She isn’t a restful pink but she is exciting! If you want to inject excitement into a space, try a magenta and orange/gold combination.
